Brendan Walsh

Brendan is an Associate Director in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Brendan’s focus is within the Investment Operations Group, working with the firm’s Research, Capital Markets, Reporting, and Investment Advisory groups. He works with Research to develop tactical and strategic allocations, coordinating implementation with the firm’s Capital Markets group and serves as an operational resource to Investment Advisors. Brendan also works with the firm’s technology development team to deliver proprietary tools to enhance Accounting, Investment Advisory, Reporting, and Research, capabilities.
Prior to joining Pathstone, Brendan was a federal contractor serving as an International Trade Analyst at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN). In this role he supported the centralization of the Export Certificate Program, reviewing certificates of free sale for the purpose of export from the United States and communicated with companies regarding upcoming policy changes for specific industries to facilitate international trade. Brendan also supported information technology systems development for the integration of the FDA’s Export Certificate programs. Prior his role at the FDA, Brendan spent three years at Cambridge Associates, LLC as an Investment Operations Analyst. In this role Brendan analyzed and interpreted portfolio data, constraints, and investment objectives to create and maintain detailed investment profiles in the Firm’s databases for downstream applications and reports.
A graduate of American University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts with dual majors in Economics and International Studies, with a focus in International Development. Brendan also earned his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a certificate in Business Analytics from George Mason University.
In his spare time, Brendan enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing with his dog, and spending time in the great outdoors, particularly anything aquatic related.
