As a Director of Wealth Planning and Family Philanthropy in Pathstone’s Winter Park, FL office, David works with ultra-high-net-worth families to create estate and philanthropic planning strategies. He also currently serves as an adjunct instructor at the Edyth Bush Institute at Rollins College, where he teaches courses on planned giving.
Prior to Pathstone, David was a wealth strategist with GenSpring and practiced law with a boutique firm focused exclusively in the areas of estate planning, probate, trust administration, and charitable gift planning. He also served as director of gift planning at Rollins College, where he was responsible for working with donors to develop philanthropic strategies with complex tax, financial, and legal implications, including gifts of fine artwork and endowments.
In addition to being a member of the Florida Bar, David holds the Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®), the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP®), the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), and the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designations. He earned his bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Rollins College and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. David has completed training on family systems theory and family governance at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, the Bowen Center for the Study of the Family, and the Center for Family Consultation. He sits on the board of directors of the Central Florida Foundation and is a community fellow at the Center for Global Economic and Environmental Opportunity at the University of Central Florida.

(CFP Board) owns the CFP® certification mark, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification mark, and the CFP® certification mark (with plaque design) logo in the United States, which it authorizes use of by individuals who successfully complete CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
