Sarah Whitelaw serves as Managing Director and shareholder at Pathstone. She acts as a strategic investment advisor to multigenerational families and charitable endowments.
Before joining Pathstone, Sarah was Managing Director in the Portfolio Management group at Hall Capital Partners LLC, an Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) that advised on $45 billion in client assets. She also served on the firm’s Investment Review Committee. Prior to joining Hall Capital in 2008, Sarah worked in the Private Wealth Management group at Morgan Stanley. She previously worked at Wellington Management Co. and began her career with Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in Boston.
Sarah earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Dickinson College and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. She is a member of the CFA Institute and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation. She serves on the Investment Committee for the Hanna Center and the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael and is on the Board of Directors for Safe & Sound.
Sarah enjoys cheering on her son at soccer games and her daughter at gymnastics competitions. She loves exploring new restaurants, attending live music events, making playlists on Spotify, and playing various sports.
A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) is a professional designation given by the CFA Institute that measures and certifies the competence and integrity of financial analysts. Candidates are required to pass three levels of exams covering areas such as accounting, economics, ethics, money management, and security analysis.
