Sheila is a Managing Director in the Washington, D.C. office where she leads client teams in providing integrated, goal-focused advice.  She is also a Partner of the firm. Sheila specializes in family communication and decision-making, education, coaching and strategic planning.  Sheila is passionate about women being prepared to manage their wealth with confidence and is excited about the launch of “HerPath”, a firm initiative to provide a forum for Pathstone’s female clients to come together, exchange ideas, collaborate, learn and help each other grow.

Sheila has worked with families of wealth for over 20 years and has served in numerous leadership positions. Prior to Pathstone, she was a Managing Partner and member of the Leadership Committee at Convergent Wealth Advisors and served as Senior Family Wealth Advisor and Director of Family Education, as well as a Family Governance Specialist at GenSpring Family Offices. In addition to providing comprehensive wealth management advice in these roles, she led family education initiatives ranging from working one-on-one with family members to conducting multi-generational family meetings.

Sheila is recognized as a leader in her field and has been cited in prominent publications including the Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek and Advisor Magazine. Most recently, Sheila was recognized in Washingtonian magazine’s “Top Financial Advisors” list for 2016 and 2018 (a biennial award).*

Sheila received her Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from The George Washington University, and her Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Business Administration from Florida State University. She is a Certified Financial Planner™, a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor, a Registered Life Planner™ and a Certified Life Coach. Sheila values involvement in her local community and has taken an active role in industry and non-profit organizations. She is currently on the Board of Bright Beginnings—a child development center for homeless children in Washington, D.C.
