Timothy Tallach

Executive Managing Director

    As an Executive Managing Director in Pathstone’s Atlanta office, Tim focuses on the development, delivery, and continuous refinement of the firm’s holistic wealth advisory and family office solutions.  Leading a team of central professionals and collaborating throughout Pathstone’s national footprint, he is responsible for strengthening the advisor community through professional collaboration, leveraging best practices, and developing and supporting bespoke planning solutions to meet the diverse and unique needs of Pathstone client families.

    Tim brings over 24 years’ experience to this role, having worked exclusively with family offices, family businesses, and ultra-high net worth families on tax, financial, fiduciary, philanthropic, and estate planning matters.

    Prior to Pathstone, Tim led GenSpring Family Offices’ national Wealth Advisory Center,  where he was responsible for the firm-wide development, delivery, and support of all Family Office client solutions. Throughout his almost 17-year tenure, he held numerous leadership roles, including serving on its Senior Leadership Team, its Board of Directors, as its Chief Fiduciary Officer, and as a Board Member of its affiliated SunTrust Delaware Trust and Teton Trust Companies.

    Additionally, he launched his career as a tax professional with Arthur Andersen, LLP serving on its U.S. Product Development and Family Wealth Planning specialty teams. There he worked in the design, development, and implementation of proprietary financial products and tax strategies for affluent private clients, as well as managed multiple Forbes 400 and Fortune 1000 advisory and estate planning engagements.

    Tim graduated magna cum laude from Centenary College (B.S. Accounting / Business) and earned his J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law. He is a licensed attorney, Certified Public Accountant, and has held several securities and life insurance related licenses and certifications.  He is a member of several American Bar Association tax and estate planning sub-committees and has authored/edited articles and spoken on numerous wealth and tax advisory topics throughout his career.

    Tim and his wife, Diana, reside in Smyrna, Georgia, where they are actively involved in youth sports, scouting, church, and school activities in support of their three children.
