Celebrating Pride Month: Highlighting 6 Organizations That Promote Respect

Pride month is a celebration of humanity, authenticity, love, acceptance, and most of all, RESPECT.

At Pathstone we are certain that diversity makes us more productive, creative, and energized. This month we celebrate authenticity, shared humanity, and the acknowledgment that all people deserve dignity and respect. With acceptance and support, we can honor and celebrate one other’s achievements and fuel greater success for our communities.

Pathstone has gathered a shortlist of national organizations that work tirelessly to promote the core values represented by Pride month. These are but a representative listing of organizations that address key issues within the LGBTQ+ community.

GLSEN’s programs support student and educator-led initiatives intended to cultivate a safe and supportive environment for all of their students, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

PFLAG https://pflag.org/

PFLAG is the first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) people, their parents and families, and allies. With over 400 chapters and 200,000 members and supporters crossing multiple generations of families in major urban centers, small cities, and rural areas across America, PFLAG is committed to creating a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed.

StartOut’s mission is to increase the number, diversity, and impact of LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs and amplify their stories to drive the economic empowerment of the community. StartOut provides the resources entrepreneurs need to succeed, promoting the successes of our community, and researching the economic impacts of LGBTQ+ discrimination.

GLAAD tackles tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change. GLAAD works through entertainment, news, and digital media to share stories from the LGBTQ community that accelerate acceptance. GLADD has existed for 30 years.

The Human Rights Campaign strives to end discrimination against LGBTQ people and realize a world that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all. Transgender Law Center (TLC) is the largest national trans-led organization advocating for a world in which all people are free to define themselves and their futures.
