As a Director in the firm’s Seattle, WA office, Jesse is responsible for providing highly-customized solutions designed to improve and simplify the financial lives of the clients he serves. With more than 14 years’ experience, Jesse has led coordination and advising for clients on a range of complex solutions related to investment, estate, tax and insurance planning to help ensure families manage the impact of their wealth and assure that their financial planning strategy meets their goals and values.
Prior to Pathstone, Jesse was a Managing Director and Client Manager with Cornerstone Advisors providing personalized guidance for the complex needs of high-net-worth clients and families, with a focus on serving business owners in advanced planning prior to a liquidity event. Prior to Cornerstone, Jesse worked with an independent broker-dealer for nearly 9 years, building a practice of clientele as a Financial Advisor, and then becoming a Branch Manager.
Jesse is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional and a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA). Jesse earned his Master of Science Degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in 2006 where he then started his career as a markets reporter for Dow Jones Newswires reporting on financial derivatives and Federal Reserve interest rate policy.
Outside of Pathstone, Jesse enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two sons. He’s involved in the community as a Board Member for the Rotary Boys & Girls Club of King County.
The Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) is a designation awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial exams, then continue ongoing annual education programs to sustain their skills and certification. The focus areas include financial planning, taxes, insurance, estate planning, and retirement saving.
The CEPA program, created in 2007 by the Exit Planning Institute, is an in-person, MBA-style program. The five-day course is held several times a year across the U.S. Advisors who earn this credential are specially trained to help business owners create an exit plan — a blueprint for selling your company for maximum benefit.
