Lisandra Wilmott

Lisandra is the firm’s General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer. She is responsible for ensuring proactive policies and procedures are designed to comply with the laws and regulations applicable to registered investment advisers.

Lisandra joined Pathstone in 2020 after leaving LPL Financial where she was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel. Her primary focus was handling advice and counsel to the firm on matters that involved compliance with the Investment Advisers Act, various data privacy laws and senior investor protection statutes both on the state and federal level. She also engaged with regulators during exams and inquiries related to firm practices. She further served as a member of the firm’s Leadership Council on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Prior to this, Lisandra was Vice President and Assistant General Counsel at JP Morgan Chase in New York City. She served as counsel to the Consumer Banking Division. During this time Lisandra also participated in the JPMorgan Honors Mentor program where she aided young law students in determining the best paths for their evolving legal careers.

Lisandra spent the first two years of her career in government, clerking at the United States Department of Justice in their Transnational Crimes Division, where she helped in the prosecution of human trafficking and arms and narcotics smuggling cases. Prior to this, she clerked for the Deputy Chief Administrative Law Judge at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, where she aided in the investigation of the Enron energy scandal.

She has given lectures at Yale Law School regarding the challenges that financial institutions face within the ever evolving political, regulatory, and legal landscape and serves as counsel to pro bono organizations looking to aid underserved communities.

Lisandra is fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish. She received a BS degree from Villanova University in 2002 and a JD from the University Of Maryland School Of Law in 2005. She is currently barred in Massachusetts, New York, Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland.

She lives in Brookline, Massachusetts with her husband and young twins. During her free time, she enjoys being with her family and traveling to exotic new countries. She has traveled to five out of the seven world continents, with the hopes of visiting all seven one day.
