Sarb Shah is a shareholder of the firm and a Managing Director serving both Advisory and Investment Research functions for Pathstone in the Alexandria, VA office. Sarb is a member of the firm’s Chief Investment Office and a voting member of the Investment Oversight Committee. He has responsibilities covering asset allocation and portfolio management as well as sourcing and due diligence oversight of private investment strategies, inclusive of direct private equity and real estate opportunities. Additionally, Sarb serves as portfolio manager of the firm’s global digital infrastructure strategy and is a member of the firm’s Strategy and Private Markets committees.
Prior to Pathstone, Sarb was a partner and Chief Investment Officer for Dyson Capital Advisors. He led the investment advisory function of the Firm and was responsible for all asset allocation, manager selection, and direct investment recommendations. Before joining Dyson, Sarb served in a variety of roles analyzing investments. He was a Partner and Director of Research at X-10 Capital, an Associate with Columbia Capital LLC, and an analyst on the Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. Investment Banking team.
Sarb received an AB in Economics from The University of Chicago in 1996. He lives in Vienna, VA with his wife and two children.
